Welcome fellow traveler | photographer | adventurer
I am an international travel photographer with a focus on the people and landscapes of Asia. My globe trotter lifestyle was launched at the age of 16 when I ventured to India on a whim. I haven’t stopped traveling since and don’t plan to anytime soon.
A brief adventure story
Chief Executive Adventurer
The Young Lad
When I was 16 I confused my high school teachers and asked them for three weeks off to travel to India. They weren’t quite sure what to make of that! Eventually I had to tell my parents as well and the next thing you know I was embarking on a life changing journey to the east. Watching people wake up on the streets of Bombay had a powerful effect on me at that age. A year later I confused myself when I fell in love with a women, again from another country, that didn’t seem to want to travel anywhere at a time when I was about to change my name to Marco Polo. After running away to Europe and the Congo I couldn’t resist this gorgeous and beautiful lady and returned back to the USA to “seal the deal” that I had messed up in a letter from Zaire.
Finds his way
Long story short we married and within 6 months found ourselves in the heart of Uganda Africa and the middle of a coup in a nation that was torn apart at the seams. Having a taste of Africa we ended up moving to Zambia for about a year to help a friend with a school he was starting. Once Lisa got pregnant we wound up moving back to the canada & usa for a bit before once again moving, this time to India. By this time our daughter was 8 months old and we were still young and foolish. After a 2 year stint in Asia we heard the voice from on high and shipped ourselves back to home base on Vancouver Island and shortly thereafter we create another piece of art whom we called Caleb. Since being home we have made more trips than I can count back to the east and they seem to be only increasing. Capturing images from the cultures of Asia is one of my highest pleasures and always a great adventure. Sharing them with you is a joy. Story telling has always been the catalyst of changing the world. Through ways both known and unknown our prayer is that my images will help change the world.
