Last night we were back up at Sarankot for landscapes and some drone footage for our documentary on Nepali Entrepreneurs. We decided to stay up at the top at a very cool but rustic place so we were on site for the sunrise at 5:30 am. Turns out it is Diwali and we were treated to lots of loud music next door, then at 11:30 pm the party along with portable speakers came right outside our place. After two hrs over cranked speakers and Hindi electro pop music right outside our door, a scuffle unsued and a bottle broke, more arguing then the crowd headed off to the next venue. By now its 2:30 am and we are getting up at 5:30 for our shoot, but we are not done yet. The manager and friends decided to have a loud conversation about the issue for about an hour! Finally they left after I got up and grabbed my re-charged batteries. It was quiet…….. until the dog started barking nonstop. It was actually kinda hilarious. The dog finally got a horse throat and gave up only to be replaced by the rooster who was calling us to get up for our shoot. In the end our sunrise and sunset drone shots were all in the bag without a hick-up just a heck of a lot of noise. We got some keepers for our documentary but most of all we had another adventure in chasing light and capturing moments and relearned the hard truth that living your passions requires leaving comfort zones more often than not. All in the day of getting a shot of an epic mountain range called Annapurna. #localphotoadventures #annapurna #pokhora #Nepal
