Here is the long over due part 2 of the wonders of Nepal. Lesson learned – better to not do 2 part series unless your ready for the second part! As I look back on our first time in Nepal I still have such an incredible feeling around the sunrise shoot we took in at Sarankot. Watching the sun rise up over the Annapurna range and spill light unto the snow clad mountain ranges that reach some 26,000 feet was truly spectacular and hooked my heart in such a way that I didn’t want to leave. The hike up the hill was in no way death defying but certainly good for the cardiovascular. We passed several people along the way who had stopped to catch their breath and some simple homes with people up before sunrise making their tea. After being ruined by the surreal sunrise we headed off for a three hour trek that wound its way through farms and villages with more spectacular views and lots beautiful people about their business. This days journey wet our appetite for more and we plan to go back for a further explore and lead a short photo trek. Stay tuned 🙂
